What I’m focused on for this month:
- PAICE.work above all = My startup has become what I eat, sleep, and breathe. Please visit the PAICE Blog and the new PAICE.foundation website to see what I’m up to.
- Paul Anka = I’ve been so intently focused on PAICE that I’ve not had much fun (or been much fun) lately. I didn’t really even do anything for my 50th birthday. So I’m very happy that my loving wife bought us tickets to a show in Vegas that we’ll steal away to this month. Yep, that Paul Anka. I’ve not been making any music lately, but I’m really looking forward the show from this legendary performer and songwriter, and the simple overnight getaway. If you haven’t seen the HBO documentary on his life, it’s really excellent, btw.
- Ancestry = I’ve been exploring mine recently, and finding some surprises hiding there in the family tree. Turns out when my Grandfather left Canada during The Great Depression as a young man in search of opportunity in the US, he left a door open for his descendents. Still researching this, but turns out I may be a member of the lucky bloodline club after all, and eligible for a special prize: a second citizenship. I never like having all my eggs in one basket, and the opportunity to diversify into a world that is only growing more chaotic is certainly appealing.
