If you’ve never seen a Now page before, this explains it. Here’s mine for June 1, 2026. For my current Now page, go here.
What I’m focused on for this month:
- Keeping PAICE = It’s still all PAICE.work all the time. Another case of “The Startup That Ate My Life” which isn’t a surprise by itself, because that’s often what it takes. But living it through this age of AI has been different than I expected, especially given my experience in the SF startup scene years ago. So much is different now. Anyway, daily blog posts and weekly videos are at the PAICE.work Blog, and PAICE.foundation continues to embody our agent-first, Aggregated Intelligence thesis.
- Signals & Subtractions Anniversary = I say it’s all about the startup, and while that’s true, I’ve also been keeping my other company alive. Snap Synapse has been my consulting business since 2004, and is now a partnership with my wife. I still have clients and do some light billable work to keep the lights on while the startup is starting up. One of those activities is my weekly newsletter Signals & Subtractions, which I started a year ago via LinkedIn, Substack, and replicated right here on this very blog. It blends very nicely with PAICE as well, being about AI applications in business. The format I have has worked great, but I’m looking for what do do differently going forward. Wide open to your ideas!
- Helping Parents Move = After 20 years in one spot, they’ve finally admitted it’s time. But it’s early in the process yet, so I’m adding some muscle and triage level focus later this month. I’m actually looking forward to the long drive to California. It’s a great chance to see things that I’m way too close to day-to-day from new and different perspectives along the highway. I’m less excited about the truck full of stuff that will likely come back with me. Not a “stuff” kinda guy.
