Afghans still need our help!

There’s so much in the news about Ukraine these days that it’s easy to forget about the still deteriorating situation in Afghanistan.

Our nextdoor neighbors took in 5 Afgan refugees last month, and like others in the neighborhood, we’ve been pitching in to to make sure they’re getting their needs met — because there is almost ZERO government support here. Each of these men is trying to go to school to learn English better, and to learn skills and trades here in the US so they can send money back home.

I’ve personally donated a few computers to help them learn, and more recently cash to help some of their families get the passports they need to get out of the country while they still can. Or really, if they still can. There are no guarantees here.

It’s a heartbreaking situation, and every little bit helps. In case you don’t know any refugees yet or anyone personally helping them, I’ll direct you to CNN’s page on how you can contribute most effectively.

Since you read this website, I’m guessing you’re someone who cares for others and wants to help make the world better than it is. This is just one way. Thank you for all you do!
