Automated State

I’ve been a fan of Balaji Srinivasan since before his book The Network State. But since its release, I’ve gone all‑in on many of his quietly revolutionary ideas for building a better world.

Why? Because they echo a vision I’ve been developing and sharing privately with friends since 1995. Back then there were no cryptocurrencies, no knowledge graphs, no AI (at least not as we think of it today). I was imagining and advocating for a similar model at the dawn of the commercial internet.

It didn’t catch on then. Too early.

Now, the timing couldn’t be better to explore how governance can evolve for the modern era. Balaji lays it out brilliantly in the 17‑minute video below. I hope you enjoy it.
