Data doesn’t care who uses it
Just as power doesn’t care what it powers
For love, for hate
For learning, for spying
Data is here to serve

Data doesn’t tell us where to go
It merely reflects back to us
This could be what we thought we wanted
Or could be something quite different

Data doesn’t want anything
It doesn’t want to be anywhere
It doesn’t even want to exist,
or to not exist
It just is

What we value
what we choose to choose
where we want to go
this is what we bring
to the data

Mirrors don’t judge us
don’t tell us what to do
We do this ourselves
so our actions are up to us

Data is without opinions
Showing ours is more than enough
