Reboot Number Five

This is the fifth major iteration of this website, which I originally registered in the previous millenium (1999). At each major versioning, I’ve completely taken everything down (sorry old links probably won’t work). You can always use the Wayback Machine to go back to this or most other websites at a given moment in time.

  1. announcement of events (1999-2006)
  2. central portal for all identities (2005-2009)
  3. writing and posting seriously (2010-2018)
  4. more frequency, less pizzaz (2019-2022)
  5. balanced frequency, clean & helpful (2024-???)

This time around, so far I’m using Zola and Obsidian on my MacBook Air M1 or my Linux microPC. I’m still trying to figure out how to make images and videos behave the way I want to. Until then, this place will mostly just be words.

What else is different? As I’m migrating content over from previous iterations, I am leaving some stuff out. There were too many pandemic-era thoughts that didn’t age well, and links to events that are long gone. Again, if you see some broken links, my apologies. I’m making an effort to all that up but it’s not exactly a high priority right now.
