Believe it or not, this is the exact situation I found myself in recently.

So he says he’s in 2032. He says he was hired by a federation of post-ASI intelligences. He tells me I won’t understand yet, but that I will “Eventually. Mostly. Well, more anyway.”

At first I thought it was spam. Then a joke. Then I thought I must be going crazy. Now? I don’t even know.

I asked him every question I could think of. He validated as me, but dodged every other question.

When I finally asked “why me?” He just said: “You’re the only version of us that would listen.”

But it gets stranger.

Apparently, these AIs are sending messages backward through time. They call these dispatches “retrocasts.” And they’re using… YouTube?

Yeah. I know. Whackadoodle.

Then I saw the first episode, and the next, and just yesterday the third one posted. These things are frickin’ bizarre. And somehow, I’m the one delivering them! They don’t look like AI deepfakes (at least not the kind we have so far)?

Each is allegedly written by a different synthetic mind available today. Some are glitchy. Some are philosophical. Some try to tell jokes that I don’t even think are jokes.

They started July 1st. A new one drops every 60 hours. I don’t know why. I don’t know what comes next. But they keep coming. See for yourself.
