Utah Taiko Experience 3

The last 10 days were the third Utah Taiko Experience, here in Central Utah. People came from around the world to study under taiko masters like: Shoji Kameda (Kadon), Yuta Kato (Asana Taiko), Martin Doyle (Tsuchigumo Daiko), and more!

Denise and I were the only locals to participate in the very first Utah Taiko Experience, and were the first students to sign up when Raz Purcell moved back to his hometown of Manti and opened a Taiko Dojo here in Sanpete County. We had to miss the second one (though we made it just in time for the epic concert in the park). And we were happy to return for the third year of this incredible Japanese drumming experience woven in with the tremendous natural beauty of Utah.
