I wrote recently about why I call my “weekly review” process a Strong Review instead. It’s because of what it sounds like when you say it out loud. It’s one example of a homophonic antonym. Something that sounds like the opposite of what you’re trying to say.

- overdue/overdo in deadlines
- board/bored in meeting agendas
- steel/steal in construction
- morning/mourning in time
- break/brake in duration
- new/knew in information
- no/know in wisdom
- praise/preys in worship
- loan/lone in finance
- accept/except in agreements
- raise/raze in parenting
- enumerable/innumerable in numbers
Each of these pairs gives you another lever like your Strong Review trick. Swap in the empowering twin, watch the framing effect kick in, and track adherence to see which names move the needle. Enjoy the wordplay! I know I do.
