Where I am: Middle of Utah

What I’m focused on for this month:

  1. PAICE.work = If you would have told me 2 months ago that I’d be founding a new startup, I’d have laughed in your face. I come from The Land of the Startup and know better! Well, the joke’s on me, because that’s exactly what’s happening and I’m filing all the paperwork and writing up the business plan and financial models and whitepaper right now. PAICE stands for “People + Artificial Intelligence Collaboration Effectiveness” and it measures how safely and effectively you work with AI. It gives a simple, FICO-like score for AI risk, valued by individuals and organizations alike. This has eclipsed all other projects. The reason I’m doing this is that as near as I can tell no one else is, and I think I know why and what to do about it.   2. DevLearn = I’ll be returning to Las Vegas for DevLearn 2025 this year, specifically to debut the PAICE.work whitepaper. But I’m also really looking forward to seeing L&D friends and colleagues that I haven’t seen in years.
  3. Taiko = There’s also a Japanese drumming gig at the University of Utah that my taiko troupe has been practicing hard for. We’re all looking forward to this first gig in the big city of Salt Lake.
