If you’ve never seen a Now page before, this explains it. Here’s mine for December 1st, 2025. For my current Now page, go here.

Where I am: Washington DC (for this week)

What I’m focused on for this month:

  1. PAICE.work = It’s all about sales right now, selling Q1 2026 Pilots to organizations with what’s left of 2025 budget. I’m also revising the whitepaper I released last month, and making a lot of changes to the UI of the website. Planning to exit “Research Preview” mode by Xmas, wish me luck! Still blogging every weekday there too, of course.
  2. Applying AI in L&D = This is why I find myself at the headquarters for the Association of Talent and Development (ATD) today. My friend Josh Cavalier wrote a very good book that provides an excellent framework for helping L&D professionals leverage AI in their Performance Consulting workflow. I love his work so much, that I’ve agreed to teach these 3-day certificate programs for ATD on Josh’s behalf next year. Most (if not all) of these deliveries will be online, but I’m in DC to watch Josh deliver and take notes so I can do it on my own next time (along with fellow ATD-facilitator Debbie Richards). I look at this as a paid Snap Synapse opportunity to essentially do research that informs how I then frame PAICE.work. I’m learning SO much from all the questions people ask and seeing where they struggle, it’s perfect!
  3. Drop100 EOY = I’ll be pruning mercilessly again this year, doing/dropping another 100 projects most of which feel like they snuck up on me through the course of 2025.
  4. Holly-daze = Of course it’s holiday time too, so there’s the usual family & friend events, Christmas parties, and such.
  5. Jazz Trio gig = I don’t usually promote gigs anymore, but on December 18th, I’m jazzed to be performing/emcee-ing the five-year anniversary and holiday party at Charlee’s Comfort Kitchen. Not only will it be a fancy shindig of gourmet deliciousness, it’s my gig this time. I’ve performed at this venue a dozen times this year, though this is the first time I’m putting together the band, the set, the arrangements, setting up the gear, and playing jazz drums instead of singing them. We’ll be swinging 20 or so holiday classics, with yours truly on vocals/drums. Fun!

Happy Holidays and thanks for checking in. Want to let me know what you’re up to? Have a suggestion for what I should tackle next? Let me know here.
